What is your ministry serious about?

Sure, we've done our share of baby food games and pudding-in-the-diaper relays, but when it comes right down to it, youth ministry is SERIOUS BUSINESS!


STAFF - We're serious about OUR STAFF! We believe that a quality youth ministry needs a quality youth staff! With a Master of Divinity Degree in Christian Education (specializing in Youth Ministry), Pastor Jeff Berger has served in youth ministry since 1988. With a Bachelor of Science Degree in the Bible (specializing in Youth Ministry), Tim Hart has served in youth ministry since 2000. Our Youth Mentors deeply love the Lord and His youth, receive both initial and on-goining training in the Sonlife Philosophy of Youth Ministry, attend the yearly Youth Staff Training Retreat, actively visit and contact youth, and meet regularly for ministry evaluation, planning, and specific prayer for the youth, the ministry, and each other!


SAFETY - We're serious about SAFETY! From the meticulous screening of our Youth Staff to the careful planning of each of our events, we care about all areas of your young person's safety! For example, (1) As part of Mohn's Hill's Child Protection Policy, all Youth Staff are carefully screened, using both the PA State Police Criminal Records Check and the PA Child Abuse History Clearance forms. (2) When we travel, all vans are in constant communication by two-way radios and/or cellular phones. (3) Parental Consent Forms (complete with important medical information) are used at all events off of church property. (4) Proper safety personnel such as nurses and lifeguards are used at all extended events. These steps and many others demonstrate our commitment to a healthy and safe environment at all times.


SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT - We're serious about SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT! All of our ministry programs and events are designed with one main objective in mind... spiritual development! From our Youth Staff visitation to our Virginia Conference, our ministry programs (FFF, JAM Session, IMPACT), to our Beach Weekends, everything we do is to help students progress in their spiritual journey. We're serious about reaching the lost, building up the believers, and equipping the committed to continue the disciple-making process in the lives of their peers. We want youth to KNOW Christ, GROW in Christ, and SHOW Christ to others!
